Yoga For So Many Reasons…

People come to yoga for many reasons.

We come to be with other people. We come to share space- breathing, listening, feeling, moving, connecting to our Self.

We come to feel. We feel our breath, our movements, our resistance, the moments of joy and freedom as well. We allow the numbness to melt, and the reconnecting to our emotions, sensations, and being to happen.

We come to bring ease and calm to our mind. We come to a practice that helps the mind experience some quiet and feel clearer.

We come to move our body. We come to experience the sensations of building strength, cultivating flexibility, and feeling a flow of creative movement. We come to feel the power of movement to slough off fatigue, stress, and help us come back to ourselves.

We come to nourish our spirit. We come to re-member our body, mind, breath, and spirit. We engage in practice that reveals to us our wholeness- that we're more than just this body and mind- that we're also spirit, consciousness, cosmic radiance.

We come for these reasons perhaps, but also an infinite amount more. The best thing is that you are coming to yoga- and coming home to your Self.
